Project

For my Master’s thesis, I am collaborating with KORA as part of the Integrated Monitoring and Management project. The aim of this project is to evaluate a monitoring system that assesses the abundance of ungulates, large carnivores, vegetation, and land use in an integrated context, in order to gain a better understanding of the effects and interactions among these components.
My master’s project focuses on estimating the abundance of ungulate populations in Switzerland. To do so, I am using the camera trap distance sampling method. To assess the reliability of this method, I will compare it with other methods.
