Project
Hi there! My name is Laura, and I’m a student assistant working on a project exploring wolf acceptance in Switzerland. In addition, I will start with my Master Thesis in fall 2025, remaining in this group.
Over the past decade, the country’s wolf population has grown significantly, intensifying human-wildlife conflicts and fuelling public debate. Using Structural Equation Models, we aim to identify the key factors influencing acceptance and how they have evolved between 2015 and 2023. Additionally, we’re investigating how influential factors—such as fear or perceived benefits, which previous studies have highlighted as crucial—are shaped by elements like trust in information sources or interest in specific topics. Knowledge about the factors influencing wolf acceptance can help guide future management decisions and improve strategies for raising public awareness and understanding.
